Do I pay more when I buy through a creator's link?
No. You pay the retailer's normal price. The brand pays the creator a commission out of its own marketing budget.
Who do I contact about an order, shipping or a return?
The store you bought from. GearCred doesn't sell or ship anything; every Shop button takes you to the brand or retailer, and they handle the order.
The price or stock on GearCred doesn't match the store.
Prices and stock change often. The store's page is always the final word. If something looks badly out of date, email us and we'll check it.
Do I need an account?
Not to browse or shop. An account lets you follow creators and brands, save posts, and build your own gear lists.
How do I save gear or posts?
Tap the bookmark on any product or post. Everything you save is under Saved.

How do I join?
Sign up here. You don't need a social following, and your account is ready right away. We check your first few posts before they go public.
How do I earn?
Tag gear in your posts or make a link to any product from a brand on GearCred. When someone buys through your link, the brand pays a commission and you keep your share of it. Your rate is on the Payouts section of your settings.
When do I get paid?
Commissions are confirmed once the store's return window passes and the brand has paid. When your confirmed balance reaches $25, it's sent to your bank through Stripe. Connect your bank under Settings, then Payouts.
What about taxes?
Stripe collects your tax details during payout setup and issues your 1099 if you earn enough to need one.
If someone shares my link with a friend, do I still get credit?
Yes. Every GearCred link includes your tracking, so a sale from a shared link is still yours, within the brand's cookie window.
Can I import from Instagram, TikTok or YouTube?
Yes. When you create a post, pick from your Instagram, TikTok or YouTube, or paste a public Reel, TikTok or YouTube link. Connect Instagram and TikTok under Settings; YouTube uses the channel link on your profile. With Instagram connected, new posts come in on their own.
How do AI gear suggestions work?
When you tag a post, AI can look at your photos and caption and suggest matching products. Nothing is tagged until you tap Tag. You can turn automatic suggestions off in Settings.

Can I feature creator posts on my brand page?
Yes. Brand users can pin posts that creators have tagged with your gear, as long as the creator allows brands to feature that post.
