Data deletion

You can remove your data from GearCred yourself at any time. Here is how, and what happens.

Disconnect Instagram

If you connected Instagram as a creator:

• Go to Account Settings, find Connected Accounts, and choose Disconnect. We immediately delete your stored Instagram access token, Instagram user ID, and username.
• You can also remove GearCred from Instagram: in the Instagram app go to Settings, then Apps and websites, and remove GearCred. This revokes our access on Instagram's side.

Disconnect TikTok

If you connected TikTok as a creator:

• Go to Account Settings, find Connected Accounts, and choose Disconnect. We revoke our access at TikTok and immediately delete your stored TikTok tokens, open ID, username, and display name.
• You can also remove GearCred from TikTok: in the TikTok app go to Settings and privacy, then Security, then Apps and services, and remove GearCred.

Posts you already imported and published stay on your GearCred profile until you delete them or your account.

Delete your account

• Creators: Account settings, then Account, then Delete my account. This permanently deletes your profile, posts, gear tags, gear lists, and Instagram and TikTok connections.
• Shoppers: You, then Account, then Delete my account. This deletes your follows, saved posts, lists, and preferences.
• Brand users: email us at info@gearcred.com and we will remove your access and data.

Ask us to delete it

If you can't sign in, or want us to handle it, email info@gearcred.com from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my data”. We confirm within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for more.
