The combination makes it suitable for active or everyday use. The jacket's AscentShell 3-layer construction consists of 50D mechanical stretch plainweave fabric and a 30D knit polyester backer. This construction enables the jacket to weigh in at just 9.8 ounces. All seams are taped and an internal front storm flap bolster waterproof protection. A fully-adjustable hood extends protection. Adjustable cuffs and an elastic drawcord hem further ensure an appropriate fit.
