Whatman Grade No. 5 Filter Paper Whatman 1005-240. 5 Filter Papers are the basis of efficient filtration and are used in all filtration applications providing a clean dry filter with maximum flow. Each sheet is made of sulphurous non-woven Whatman material and is ideally suited for the pre-filtration stage of distillation. The cellulose nitrate base of the material makes it very light and air-permeable permitting gases and liquids to easily pass through the paper. As the paper becomes more saturated it will become harder and less effective degrading with each use. Whatman Grade No.
