The new Weatherby Mark V Deluxe Varmintmaster is built on the all new Mark V Standard Short Action. This action is based on Roy Weatherby's original design that was introduced in 1964 and ran in production until 1994 when it was replaced by the current modern-day Mark V 6-Lug Standard Action. Both actions utilize a 6-Lug bolt design and the main difference between the two is that the Mark V action is a trimmed-down and shorter version of the Standard action. The new Deluxe Varmintmaster features a classic Monte Carlo high gloss stock that Roy Weatherby was known for.
