The Warne Vapor Scope Mount system puts the weight of the scope onto the weapon and not the shooter or rifle. Because the weight of the scope and not the mount is the same the recoil is not an issue. The Maxima Steel base is used in conjunction with the Vapor Mount system to insure the heaviest possible base stress when installing the Rifle Scope. This ensures the greatest level of durability. The Vapor mount system is also the preferred mount of the Military and Law Enforcement officials. This is the same mount system used by the Special Forces where they are issued.
