The Filipino culture and the martial arts culture in particular has a deep, rich history. One of those tools is the Ginunting. Possibly derived from a Binangon (which was used as a farm or yard tool), the Ginunting is a powerful weapon.Adam Boyce, aka Spartan mode, is an Idaho native and friend of TOPS. In 2018, Adam approached TOPS because he had an opportunity to be a contestant on the Forged in Fire spinoff show Knife or Death. In the end, he was an alternate and wasn't able to compete, but the X16 Ginunting was prototyped for him to be used on the show if he was selected.
