From Trident Fly Fishing
One of the most versatile sizes in the Tibor Reels family the Riptide is the perfect choice whether you&';re slinging large Hollow Fleyes at big striped bass or reeling in a 60-pound tarpon cruising in the Everglades. The Riptide is a member of Tibor&';s lineup and best suits rods in weights 9 through 11 while holding 200 yards of Micron or 300 yards of Power Pro backing. Quite possibly one of the most timeless saltwater reels on the market since Ted Juracsik introduced it in 1995 the Tibor Riptide is like that fine scotch that you bring out only on special occasions except that it has all of the performance that you need for tough use every time you&';re on the water.
