From Trident Fly Fishing
The Thomas & Thomas Montana 8ft 6in 6wt Bamboo Fly Rod stands as a testament to the idea that cane rods belong on the water not just displayed above a fireplace. While many anglers associate bamboo with delicate slow-action presentation on tiny creeks the Montana series is engineered to solve the specific challenges of larger western rivers where wind and distance are constant factors. What sets this rod apart is its impregnated finish a unique construction method that creates a durable low-maintenance rod with a crisper more authoritative action than traditional varnished cane.
