What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I wear these on hikes when the weather can't make up its mind. Being able to zip off the legs when it heats up is a lifesaver, and the fabric breathes really well even in full-length mode. They're also light enough to pack down small if I want to switch into trail shorts mid-hike."When we're hiking from chilly mornings to sun-baked switchbacks, the Basin Convertible Pant keeps us comfortable and ready for it all. Built for adaptability on the trail, these pants zip off at the knee to transform into 4-inch inseam shorts, letting us regulate our comfort without carrying a second pair.
