What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "This vest has become a go-to layer for cold city walks and crisp trail mornings alike. It's light, but that 600-fill down traps heat better than I expected. I love throwing it over a hoodie or fleece—it’s not bulky, and the DWR finish keeps surprise drizzle from soaking through." We rely on the Hydrenalite Down Vest when the air turns crisp and we need a warm, no-fuss layer that doesn't weigh us down. The North Face packs this vest with 600-fill-power down to insulate our core and wraps it in recycled nylon ripstop with a non-PFC DWR finish to repel light moisture.
