What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I wore this on a chilly overlook hike and never had to take it off once we stopped moving. The double-layer hood actually blocks wind instead of just flapping around. It's heavy enough to work as a stand-alone layer, but packs down small enough that I forget it's in my bag."A hoodie built for trail mornings should still make sense at the coffee shop afterward, and the Axys Hoodie from The North Face pulls that off without trying too hard. It handles the cold wait at the trailhead, the hike itself, and the drive home in the same easy stride, never feeling like gear that needs to be swapped out once the adventure part is over.
