From Twisted Throttle
In addition to protection from scuffs and scrapes due to an over-enthusiastic passenger these side case covers will also deflect the elements or anything that might be falling from the sky-hey you never know. They're manufactured in TechSpec's Snake Skin material a strong 1/8 in thick composite that features a diamond pattern that uses multiple biting edges to provide superior grip. If you're tying something down to the lid of your cases these covers will also provide additional friction and hold your belongings more securely.
