From Trident Fly Fishing
The St. Croix Tannic Bass Fly Rod was born from the challenge of pulling trophy bass from the gnarliest cover. We&&';;ve all been there: a perfect pocket opens up behind a cypress knee or under a maze of mangrove roots but it demands a pinpoint cast with a bulky air-resistant popper. Standard fast-action rods can feel like clubs lacking the finesse for a delicate landing while softer rods don&&';;t have the backbone to stop a big fish from burying you in the weeds. The Tannic solves this with a purpose-built design that blends immense power with surprising sensitivity and a light swing weight.
