From Sportsman's Guide
St. Croix 2023 Avid Series Inshore Spinning Rods offer a wide range of lengths, powers, and actions to dominate the nearshore fisheries coast to coast. At the base of this rod, St. Croix utilized an improved SCIII+ Carbon blank material, a material developed in the combination of high-modulus, high strain SCIII carbon and super-high modulus SCVI exotic carbon. Proprietary percentages, locations, and combinations of both materials were rolled into the mandrels to create this new SCIII+ blank, ultimately creating a lighter, more sensitive rod with improved balance and durability.
