From Backcountry
Now that 1x drivetrains are the defacto choice for mountain and cyclocross riders, SRAM sets it aims at providing road and gravel cyclist the same simplicity and weight savings with its Rival 1 group. The Rival 1 BB30 Crankset is the centerpiece of the group and turns your pedaling into the forward movement with precise aluminum construction and outstanding chain retention. With SRAM's commitment to 1x, it's been producing wide range cassettes and rear derailleurs that allow for the gearing possible with only one ring. When the crossover, repetitive gear choices are removed from a 2x setup, the gearing options become very similar to 1x.
