Spyderco's UK Penknife was originally developed for British knife users after the United Kingdom prohibited the carry of folding knives with locking blades. It combined the pocket clip and convenient one-handed opening of the revolutionary CLIPIT knife with a legally permissible non-locking notch-joint mechanism. The UK Penknife has since become the cutting tool of choice for many European knife users, world travelers, and others who prefer the socially friendly demeanor of a non-locking blade. For discriminating knife users, this popular design is now available with state-of-the-art CPM S110V blade steel that offers superior edge holding and corrosion resistance.
