The Spyderco byrd Gooney is a distinctive folding utility knife designed for everyday cutting jobs where control, reach and an effective slicing edge matter. Designed by Spyderco co-founder Sal Glesser, its unconventional blade brings together elements associated with sheepfoot, hawkbill and Reverse S profiles. The resulting shape provides a long, gently curved cutting path with a hooked forward section that can help engage materials during practical tasks such as opening packaging, breaking down cardboard, trimming cordage and handling other routine work around the shop, camp or property. This plain-edge version uses a 3.44-inch blade made from 9Cr14MoV stainless steel.
