Specialized Trail Control Grid Lite T9 29" Tire Maximum Grip, Minimum Baggage Riders who want GRIPTON T9 grip on a lighter setup have a clear answer in the Trail Control Grid Lite. The Grid Lite casing sits below the Grid Trail in the weight hierarchy, making this a tire you feel on long climbs and more pedal specific terrain without giving back confidence in corners or on the brakes. The GRIPTON T9 is the stickiest compound in the lineup, a high-damping rubber that rebounds slowly and holds the ground even when conditions turn loose, wet, or unpredictable. If you've been running a heavier casing and suspect your trail bike is carrying more tire than it needs, then this is the tire for you.
