If you're getting consistent rejection on your other hopper patterns, give the Panty Dropper Hopper a try. This fly rides low in the surface film (like real grasshoppers do), instead of riding high on top of it. But even when settled down, the Panty Dropper Hopper is easy to spot at long distances. This pattern also features a realistic split-leg hopper profile, which casts a shadow that looks exactly like the real thing. If you're dealing with super selective trout keying in on terrestrials, the Panty Dropper Hopper is the fly for you.
