The new Smith Altus MIPS is an excellent helmet for that rider looking for an ultra-lightweight helmet packed with protection. Smith's Aerocore Construction Featuring Koroyd delivers added protection and weight reduction. Koroyd can crumple upon impact to improve energy absorption and keep you protected should you have a nasty crash. Koroyd is also fully breathable to help keep your head comfortable on the mountain. Equipped with MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) the Altus has an inner liner that can rotate upon an oblique impact rather than transfer this energy towards your brain. Smith's VaporFit Adjustable Fit System is very easy for you to dial in the perfect fit.
