From Backcountry
The Smartwool Active Fleece Balaclava places soft-brushed Merino wool directly against skin, blended with recycled polyester, so the fabric stays comfortable rather than scratchy through a full day in the cold. Four-way stretch keeps the fit secure under a helmet or hood without restricting movement, and reflective elements add visibility for low-light conditions. What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I wore this through a windchill cold enough to sting bare skin, and the Merino against my face never felt damp or itchy the way some fleece liners do after an hour. It just stayed comfortable the whole time."
