From Backcountry
The Saola Quito Shoe builds recycled and bio-based content into nearly every layer, from a bio-sourced vegan leather upper down to a cork-and-recycled-rubber outsole. A water-repellent finish and stretch-knit collar keep the ankle dry and let the shoe slip on in seconds, while a removable insole made from recycled cork and polyurethane molds to the foot over time. The construction holds up as a genuine everyday sneaker, not just a sustainability statement. What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I wore mine through a rainy commute expecting to swap shoes at my desk, and the stretch-knit collar kept my ankle dry the whole way.
