From Backcountry
The Santa Cruz Stigmata Rival AXS Rudy runs a RockShox Rudy Base XPLR fork, 40mm of travel built specifically for gravel rather than a shortened mountain bike unit, so the front end soaks up washboard and chip seal instead of transmitting every hit straight to the rider's hands. That kind of comfort usually shows up on long days, the kind where a rider's hands and shoulders start to feel every mile of rough road by the halfway point. What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"My hands stopped aching around mile forty on a stretch of washboard gravel that would have rattled straight through a rigid fork, the Rudy just absorbed it and kept rolling.
