The PAYLOAD features a rugged design and extra-large componentry to handle heavy lines and wrangle the largest freshwater and saltwater species. Sage&';s classic Konnetic Technology and a strong midsection and powerful tip section make this rod efficient and highly functional when casting heavy rigs. A softer butt section increases rod leverage capabilities and a shorter overall rod length adds to the rod&';s lifting power. The butt section on the PAYLOAD is forgiving to allow anglers to utilize the powerful tip and midsection without compromising casting stroke. Incredible power incredible capabilities and incredible performance.
