From Trident Fly Fishing
The Ross Cimarron LT Fly Reel is the Cimarron rebuilt around one goal: keep the American machining and the drag lose the ounces. Ross ported the frame aggressively and landed at 4.9 oz in the 4/5 nearly a full ounce lighter than the standard Cimarron in the same size while holding the same 3.250 inch diameter and the same line capacity. That is a real difference on a 9 foot 5 weight where an ounce at the butt separates a rig that hangs balanced in your hand all day from one you start noticing by mid afternoon.
