From Trident Fly Fishing
RIO Tapered Tarpon Leader is engineered to deliver superior casting performance and durability when targeting tarpon. Unlike standard-level tarpon leaders this tapered design allows for smoother turnover and a more precise presentation essential for successful tarpon fishing. The leader tapers down to a 2-foot section of fluorocarbon shock tippet offering excellent abrasion resistance to handle the powerful runs and sharp mouths of tarpon. Finished with a hand-tied perfection loop in the butt this leader is easy to attach and provides a secure connection.
