What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"This has become the piece I reach for on cold approaches and long belays alike, the high-loft fleece traps heat fast without feeling heavy. The under-helmet hood fits well enough that I forget it's even adjustable."A solid layering system depends on pieces that pull their weight, and the Granitic Hooded Jacket earns its place for cold approaches, long belays, and everything in between. High lofting fleece regulates heat efficiently while moving, so it works just as well under a shell as it does on its own during a brisk hike in. An under-helmet hood adds coverage without bulk, fitting cleanly beneath a climbing helmet when conditions call for one.
