From Sportsman's Guide
The Quantum(R) Merit(TM) Reel redefines affordability and performance, offering premium features typically reserved for higher-priced reels. With Sealoq(TM) 6 technology, the reel is sealed to IPX6 standards, safeguarding its gear box and drag system against water, salt, and sand. The CFX200(TM) Carbon Fiber Extreme Drag System ensures best-in-class max drag capability and a smooth, consistent drag curve, providing anglers with outstanding control and power. Constructed with a high-strength graphite body and rotor reinforced by an aluminum sideplate, the Merit reel strikes an ideal balance between durability and lightweight performance.
