What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "I wear these on the hottest trail runs and hikes when anything heavier feels like too much. They’re extremely light, dry fast after big efforts, and never restrict movement. The waistband stays comfortable without digging in, and the minimal pocket is perfect for a key or gel." We reach for the Trailfarer 4. 5in Shorts when the sun is high and the trail offers no shade. Patagonia designed these shorts for pure warm-weather performance, keeping us cool and comfortable through long climbs, quick miles, and all-day movement in the heat. The ultralight recycled polyester fabric wicks sweat, dries quickly, and stretches easily with every stride and step.
