From Backcountry
The Patagonia Torrentshell 3L Jacket earns its place in a daily bag by disappearing until it's needed. The H2No Performance Standard three-layer construction bonds ECONYL recycled nylon ripstop to a polycarbonate PU membrane and tricot backer, keeping rain out without the stiff, crinkly feel that makes some shells feel like wearing a tarp. Undersarm vents and a PFAS-free DWR finish work together so the jacket handles both a steady climb and a sudden downpour without a layer change. What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I toss this in my bag whenever the forecast is uncertain. It stuffs into its own pocket and clips to a carabiner so it's always there when the sky changes its mind."
