What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I use this layer anytime I’m moving fast in the mountains and need warmth without overheating. It breathes exceptionally well under a shell, stretches easily when reaching or climbing, and packs down small in my pack. The hybrid fabric placement really works—I stay warm up front without trapping heat on the back."When the pace is high and conditions keep changing, we rely on the R1 Ultralight Hoodie to regulate warmth without slowing us down. Patagonia designed this piece for mountain movement, where breathability, stretch, and low bulk matter as much as insulation.
