From Backcountry
The Fitz Roy Down Jacket handles cold-weather belays and fast alpine starts, when every extra ounce matters. Its 800-fill-power Responsible Down Standard down traps heat without adding bulk, while a 100% recycled nylon ripstop shell sheds wind and light precipitation without weighing down a pack. A tall collar and cord-lock hem seal out drafts at the belay, so warmth stays where it counts. What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I stuff mine into its own front-left pocket before the approach, and it disappears into my pack until we're back at the belay. Pulling it back out at the anchor, it's still warm enough that I don't hesitate to strip my hardshell first."
