From Backcountry
The Patagonia Better Sweater Fleece Vest delivers core warmth without the sleeve bulk, making it the right reach when a full jacket would overheat on the trail but a base layer alone falls short. The midweight recycled polyester fleece holds heat through a rest stop or a breezy ridgeline without trapping it on the climb, and the hip length sits cleanly under a shell or softshell without riding up. What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I wear this under a shell on cool-morning hikes when I need core warmth but want my arms free to move. The hip length keeps it from bunching under a pack hipbelt."
