What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying: "I've put this shell through storm cycles and spring skins, and it punches above its weight. Pertex Shield keeps driving snow out, the tricot backer feels comfortable over layers, and the pit zips dump heat fast on traverses. The powder skirt and helmet-ready hood are dialed, and the pocket layout actually works with a pack. It's a do-everything shell I reach for a lot."We reach for the Outdoor Research Carbide Jacket when the forecast swings from blower to graupel and we still want to stack laps.
