What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: “This is one of my favorite active layers because it adapts so well to different outputs. I wear it under a shell for ski days and on its own for hikes and approaches. It traps heat when I slow down, breathes when I’m moving, and never feels clammy—even on long, sweaty days.” We grab the Deviator Hoodie whenever our plans involve moving through the mountains, no matter the season. Designed by Outdoor Research for high-output pursuits, this layer strikes the balance between warmth and breathability, making it just as comfortable on uphill grinds as it is during windy transitions or cool descents.
