What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: “I use these gloves any time I know my hands will be exposed all day—on glaciers, fishing trips, or long paddles. They stay cool even in direct sun, dry quickly, and the grip is solid on poles and paddles. It’s an easy way to avoid burned hands without feeling overheated.” We pull on the ActiveIce Sun Glove when the sun won’t let up and shade is nowhere to be found. Designed by Outdoor Research for high-exposure days, these gloves keep our hands protected and comfortable during everything from glacier travel to long hours on the water. They’re a small piece of gear that makes a big difference when conditions are bright and relentless.
