The Orvis Hydros II Euro is the European nymphing version of the Hydros and unlike the past-season reels that used to share this page it is a current model: Orvis carries this exact reel and color in its catalog today. It is built on the Hydros II size for 3 to 5 weight lines at 5.6 oz and 3.5 in. in diameter and it makes the two changes euro anglers actually need. The frame is fully caged with spool to frame tolerances tightened so the thin running line and mono rigs the technique lives on cannot slip between spool and frame.
