What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:“When I’m sneaking up on wild trout in tight headwater creeks, this rod is my go-to. The 7’6” length is ideal for roll casting and short presentations, and the medium action gives me the control I need to land the fly softly every time. It’s lightweight, accurate, and punches way above its price point.”When we’re chasing native brookies through high-alpine meadows or picking apart spring creeks for finicky browns, we reach for the Orvis Clearwater 763-4 Fly Rod. Built specifically for precision casting on tight, brush-lined waters, this 7’6”, 3-weight rod delivers a soft touch and controlled loops that turn over small flies with grace.
