MSR Elixir 1 Tent S25Room to Breathe, Solo If you want a solo shelter that doesn't make you feel like you're sleeping in a bivy sack, the Elixir 1 is worth a close look. The floor plan is genuinely rectangular, which means a wide sleeping pad fits without fighting the walls. Unique pole geometry pushes the peak height to 39 inches, so you can sit up, change layers, and actually use the space you're carrying. The rainfly uses a durable 68D packcloth polyester, chosen specifically for the Elixir line because durability was the priority over shaving grams. Setup is freestanding and color-coded from poles to webbing, so you're not puzzling over which clip goes where after a long day on trail.
