What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: “I grab this jacket when I want real warmth but don’t want to feel restricted. The stretch fabric makes a noticeable difference when climbing or skiing, and it layers comfortably under a shell. It’s warm enough for cold starts yet breathable enough to keep on while moving.” We rely on the StretchDown Hooded Jacket when cold weather meets high movement. Designed by Mountain Hardwear for active days in the mountains, this jacket gives us the warmth of down insulation without the stiff, restrictive feel that can slow us down. It works just as well as a standalone layer on crisp mornings as it does under a shell when conditions turn harsher.
