What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "I bring this on every mountain day, no matter the season. It’s warm for the weight, packs into nothing, and layers under a shell without feeling bulky. It’s one of those pieces you forget you packed—until you’re really glad you did." We rely on the Mountain Hardwear Ghost Whisperer Hooded Down Jacket when our time in the mountains demands warmth without weight. Early starts feel easier with an insulating layer that disappears into a pack, and as temperatures drop near the summit or at camp, the 800-fill down lofts quickly to deliver the trusted warmth we count on for shoulder-season climbs, crisp hikes, and long belays.
