The Midland LXT500 comes equipped with 22 channels and has a range of up to 24 miles. The call alert function notifies you of incoming calls from your group. The silent option turns off all tones for quiet operation. Two power settings allows you to adjust transmit power and conserve battery life. The auto squelch removes the annoying background noise for a clear, crisp conversation. These two-way radios operate on four AAA batteries (not included) or rechargeable batteries (included). The radio comes with rechargeable batteries, AC wall adapter, belt clips, desktop charger, an owner's manual and is covered by a 3 year warranty.
