What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying: "This shoe makes long hikes feel easier. The BOA system dials in the fit perfectly, and the SpeedARC midsole with FlexPlate gives me that propulsive feel-like I'm getting a boost with each step. Add in the Matryx upper with Kevlar threads and the Quantum Grip outsole, and it's a hiker that's as tough as it is fast." The Merrell Speedarc Surge Boa Hiking Shoe is built for hikers who want to move faster, go farther, and feel fresher on the trail. At its core is the SpeedARC(TM) midsole system, a first-of-its-kind design combining dual layers of FloatPro+(TM) supercritical foam with a nylon FlexPlate(TM).
