From Backcountry
The Mavic Crosstrail SL Carbon 29 wheel builds its rear rim with 28 spokes in a 3-cross pattern and its front with 24 spokes in a 2-cross pattern, reinforcing the wheel where trail and enduro riding load it hardest. Carbon fiber construction cuts real weight off the wheel compared to an aluminum build, so climbs and accelerations take less effort without changing how the wheel handles impact. What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I've hit the same rock gardens and root sections on this carbon wheel that used to rattle my aluminum setup, and it holds its line without flinching. Going lighter didn't cost me anything when the trail got rough."
