What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I keep this in my pack all shoulder season. It’s warm for the weight, blocks wind better than most down pieces, and the Down Defender treatment has saved my day more than once when the weather turned damp."When cold air settles into the valleys and the wind picks up above tree line, we reach for the Marmot Highlander Down Hooded Jacket. It’s the kind of layer that lives in our pack because it’s light enough to forget about until the temperature drops—then instantly proves its worth. The Pertex Quantum shell cuts wind on exposed ridges, while 700-fill down brings steady warmth without tipping our load into bulky territory.
