What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: “I like these for approach days when I’m constantly on and off my feet. The collapsible heel makes transitions effortless, and the shoe still feels supportive and stable on rocky trails. They’re lightweight, comfortable enough to wear all day, and grippy enough to trust on technical approaches.” We pull on the Alnasca Hybrid Low Approach Shoe when our day includes hiking to the crag, belaying between burns, and unwinding afterward at camp. Designed by Mammut to handle it all, this hybrid shoe combines the relaxed feel of a closed sandal with the traction and structure of an approach shoe, making it a versatile companion for climbing-focused days.
