The Smith & Wesson M&P15 AXE SBR is a factory short-barreled rifle chambered in 5.56x45 NATO, built around an 11.5-inch, 4150 CMV steel barrel with 5R rifling, a 1:8 twist rate, and an Armornite corrosion-resistant finish, all packaged in a rugged, anodized aluminum receiver that weighs in at just 6.22 pounds. This isn't a range toy dressed up to look tactical. It's a purpose-built, suppressor-optimized semi-automatic rifle that arrives ready for the can right out of the box, backed by some of the most thoughtful component choices Smith & Wesson has ever assembled into a factory MSR. What separates the M&P15 AXE from every other short-barreled rifle on the mark Mfg: Smith & Wesson
