The Light Cahill Dry Fly is a traditional Catskill dry fly that was invented in the 1880s and holds strong today as one of the top flies for imitating adult mayflies. Designed by Dan Cahill in Port Jervis New York the Light Cahill has been catching fish for well over a hundred years and over its lifespan it remains mostly unchanged. An effective original from its beginning the Light Cahill has a cream-colored body that blends ginger-colored tail fibers and hackling with mallard wings.
