From Trident Fly Fishing
The Lamson Liquid Max Fly Rod Outfit is the big water version of the Liquid and almost nothing carries over from the trout rig that shares the name. The rod is a different blank fast action instead of medium fast which Lamson describes as a more user friendly sibling of its fast action Cobalt saltwater series with a splash of feel that makes it easier to load while keeping enough power to drive a cast into wind. The reel is a different reel the Liquid Max running Lamson&';s US made Cobalt drag with a certified IPX8 waterproof rating instead of the Liquid S sealed conical drag. And the range is different: 9ft 4 piece in 6wt through 10wt where the standard Liquid stops at 8wt.
